Oskotz is
a small village of around 80 inhabitants whose main activity
is cattle-raising and is at a height of around 600 metres
in the mountains of Navarre.
It is surrounded by green fields
on which dairy cattle and latxo sheep
graze, and there are leafy beech and oak woods – perfect
for walking, cycling or horse riding, as in the case of "La
Cañada de Las Provincias," which passes through
the village districts.
We have a daily bread and grocery service twice a week,
in addition to shops in the town of Irurtzun, 10 km away.
A visit can be made to the beautiful Gothic church of St. Christopher, dating from
the 14th century (during the Eucharist), perfectly restored
on the inside.
The modern dairy cattle and native sheep farms of the San
Miguel Cooperative may also be visited on a guided
tour.
